On 1st April 2006 former teaching assistant James Pitcher returned to Romsey Golf Club as Head Professional. James turned professional in 1997 and started work as a trainee at Brokenhurst where he remained for 6 years. He moved to Romsey Golf Club in 2002 as Assistant Professional under the guidance of Mark Desmond and then to Wickham Park as their Head Professional in 2005. James has been an active and successful player on the Hampshire Pro-Am circuit with 7 wins to his credit. He represented the PGA as the Assistants Captain in 2004 and has also been the winner of Hampshire Young Professional Championship in 2001. Since taking over at Romsey, James has restocked the pro-shop and is able to obtain a wide selection of clubs, clothing and accessories all at competitive prices.
