For many years now, Romsey Golf Club has had a vibrant senior’s section welcoming the over 60’s to join our friendly group and enjoy the playing of golf and participating in the many social functions on offer. Our annual fee to join the section is £10.
Current membership runs at around 100 members and our aim is to increase this number over the coming months and years. Our elected committee is dedicated to administering the section in a professional and inclusive manner ensuring both existing non senior members and new club members are encouraged to join the section on an on-going basis.
As a section, we promote friendly matches both home and away against other local clubs throughout Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight. This furthers excellent relationships with these clubs which in itself harbours many personal friendships and provides opportunities to make new friendships as well.
Internally, the section administers 17 competitions in various formats including both winter and summer knockouts, medal and stableford events along with fun Texas scrambles, 3 club challenges and several mixed events.
