Romsey Golf Club Professional Shop

The Professional Shop at Romsey offers the latest in technology from top manufacturers. Services include golf lessons which can be on an individual basis, as a group, a video session or a playing lesson. These lessons cover all parts of the game and include slow-motion video swing analysis and use of an Explanar swing trainer, as well as the latest offering in technology, namely the Skycaddie SKYPRO.

Heath and his team provide custom fit services, retro custom fitting and Demonstration Days.

PGA Head Professional: Heath Teschner
Our current Head Professional, Mr Heath Teschner joined Romsey Golf Club on 1st May 2012 following 14 years as Head professional at Dunwood Manor Golf Club. At this time he bought with him his assistant James Fairlie. Heath was part of the Professional team that opened Paultons Golf Centre in 1994, before moving to Dunwood Manor in 1998 as Head Professional.    Whilst at Dunwood Heath qualified as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner (golf psychology). Over the past 15 years Heath and his team have produced several England Internationals and currently have several juniors in the USA on scholarships. His team to date have nurtured 8 amateurs into Professionals.
PGA Teaching Professional: James Fairlie
James joined the team at Romsey on 1st May 2012, moving across with Head Professional, Heath Teschner when his former club closed. James turned professional in 2008 under the tutelage of Heath Teschner. Having completed the foundation degree in professional golf in 2012, James became a fully qualified Class A PGA professional by the time he took up his post at Romsey Golf Club. Having enjoyed a modicum of success with his playing career, James has decided to concentrate his efforts to coaching. James prides himself on his professional approach to all things golf, especially his coaching. He is happy to coach all abilities and ages using varying methods of diagnosis, intervention and continued support to his pupils. Utilising slow motion video analysis as well as a plethora of teaching aids, James strives to make the game of golf more enjoyable and ultimately more rewarding for his pupils. James comments that he may pick up his clubs in a playing capacity but feels that other professionals will not be worried!!
